Pooch Perks kindly sent me this box to review. I received the Pampered Pooch box.

We have three dogs: Two Bloodhounds (Ruby Sue and Ellie Mae) and an American Pit Bull Terrier (Remy).

img_4063

Pooch Perks includes a detailed informational card that lists the items in each box.

Each month, Pooch Perks introduces a “theme.” The theme of this month’s box is “Back to School.”

img_4074

Pound Bakery Trail Mix ($8):  I could not find this particular mix online so I am guessing at the value. The mix is packed with protein, complex carbs, and other wholesome ingredients that energize your dog while also satisfying their taste buds. I love that Pooch Perks sends wholesome, nutritious treats and our dogs seem to appreciate them too!

img_4072

Exclusively Dog Jerkeez Pizza Flavored Treat ($4.59): These treats are free of wheat, corn, soy, and sugar. The dogs really enjoyed these. They were gobbled up quickly!

img_4066

PetLou Dinosaur ($10): This is another one I am estimating the price on. This is a cute little guy but unfortunately, he may not last long in our house. As you all know, our dogs are a bit rough on plush toys!

img_4067
Grooming Wipes ($5): I am estimating the price on these as well. These wipes come in so handy! We use them to wipe the dogs paws before they come in the house or get in the car.

img_4070

Pet Qwerks Newspaper ($7): This is one of the “crunchy” type toys. It sounds like it has crumpled newspaper inside (which of course would be perfect!) I ended up passing this one on to my Mom’s dog however since it is a bit more delicate and would be shredded if we gave to our three dogs.

img_4068

Gralen Kong Sport Balls ($5.25): I love the Kong brand so I was thrilled to see this set of tennis balls. Remy can destroy a regular tennis ball within minutes. However, these are made with extra thick rubber to make them tougher. We will have hours of fun playing fetch with these!

img_4073

Redbarn Roofles with Natural Maple Flavor Dog Treats ($1.39): These treats are so cute because they look like little waffles! They are made with chopped rawhide and topped with natural maple flavor. Ruby Sue got this one and she ate it in about two minutes. Our dogs don’t really slow down to savor their treats!

img_4071

Smokehouse Prime Slice Beef Tenderloin ($1.50): This treat is high in protein and low in fat. It is made with 100% beef tenderloin. This will also help to clean your dog’s teeth and gums.

img_4064

Squeak n Snap ($14.95): You can plug this little bear into your phone and use it to get your dog’s attention when taking a photo. It has a squeaker in it so it’s great at getting your dog to look at your camera. The website also says that it works for babies!

Here are a few photos using the Squeak n Snap:

img_4075

Verdict: The total value of this month’s Pooch Perks is around $57.68. I really enjoyed this month. I love the whole some treats and the toys were a big hit. I especially love the Squeak n Snap!!

Pooch Perks kindly sent me this box to review. I received the Pampered Pooch box.

We have three dogs: Two Bloodhounds (Ruby Sue and Ellie Mae) and an American Pit Bull Terrier (Remy).

IMG_3983

Pooch Perks includes a detailed informational card that lists the items in each box. The card was a bit different this month and did not include the values of the products. I am using values that I was able to find online.

Each month, Pooch Perks introduces a “theme.” The theme of this month’s box is “Olympics.” Pooch Perks included nutritious treats and interactive toys in this box to get your dog ready for the Olympics!

IMG_3991

Boo Boo’s Best Bison Flavored Treats: These treats are full of nutrients and omega-3 fatty acids to help with inflammation and arthritis. They must be tasty too because Ruby Sue gobbled them up!

IMG_3986

Twister Pull: The rope on this toy is made with cotton blend fibers that help to “brush” and massage your dogs teeth and gums. Remy loves tennis balls so I will give this to him to play with outside. I know he will love it but something tells me it won’t last too long.

IMG_3987

Natural Twister Dog Toy: This toy is made with 100% natural nubby fabrics like corduroy and microplush to make an interesting feel for your dog’s mouth. We usually give the plush toys to Ruby Sue since she isn’t as hard on them.

IMG_3990

Dogs Love Kale Chicka: These treats are made  with.,..you guessed it! Kale! Kale is a superfood, packed with vitamins and minerals. The ingredients also include blueberries to help control blood sugar levels and improve cardiovascular health.

IMG_3985

Jack for Joy Toy: This toy was only included in the large dog box. (The small dog box included a Kong Gyro.) This jack toy is very durable and made with non-toxic plastic. I am going to give this to Remy and Ellie Mae to play with outside.

IMG_3984

FouFit Bandana: This bandana is made with a fabric that is treated with powdered jade ore to absorb and lock in water so that it is released slowly to keep your dog cool. The info card says that it will work from 2-6 hours and does not include soaking or freezing.

IMG_3993

Verdict: Pooch Perks did not include costs on this info card so I did not do a cost breakdown this time. However, I am really happy to see that Pooch Perks is now offering the small and large dog boxes. I love getting more durable toys that all three of my dogs can enjoy. As always, the treats included are nutritious and made with wholesome ingredients. Pooch Perks really has become one of my favorite boxes!

Each month, Pooch Perks introduces a “theme.” The theme of this month’s box is “Alien Invasion.”

IMG_3872

Davis Square Camberville Treats (~$3): These treats  are handmade, free of wheat, corn, and soy as well as non GMO. They are made with kale and banana They smell pretty strong to me but the dogs love them!

IMG_3870

Exclusively Dog Carob & Vanilla Treats ($5.98): These doggie cookies are made with natural ingredients and the dogs are gobbling them up! They must have a sweet tooth like me!

IMG_3871

PetLou’s One Eyed Blue Monster (~$5): What a cute little monster! This is supposed to be a puncture proof squeak toy so we will see if that holds up when I pass this on to Ruby Sue!

IMG_3873

Earth Friend Poop Bags b y My Loyal Friend (~$5): We were in need of these! I love that these tiny rolls are much easier to carry on our walks than the grocery bags I usually take. These will actually last us a while too. Our dogs don’t usually go to the bathroom on our walks but sometimes they get a little excited so these will come in handy for those times. 🙂

IMG_3868

The Real Meat Company Treats ($6.50): Theses treats are made with beef, oatmeal, and spinach.

IMG_3865

Jolly Pets Flathead Toy ($8.42): This is a crinkle toy which Ruby Sue really loves. The description also says that it’s durable which I appreciate!

IMG_3869

Spunky Pup Meteor (~$9): This reminds me of a Kong toy! It says that it’s made with “AlienFlex Rubber.” I usually don’t give the plush toys to Remy or Ellie Mae since they are heavy chewers but this toy will be perfect for them! It’s also a treat dispenser.

IMG_3866

Spunky Pup Ghim ($7.99): This cute guy is made with “AlienFlexGnawguard Technology.” It’s a plush toy but made to be durable.

IMG_3877

Verdict: The total value of this month’s box is around $50.98. I think the curation is excellent for this box! I love that Pooch Perks is sending more durable toys since our dogs are tough chewers!

IMG_3322

Pooch Perks includes a detailed informational card that lists the items in each box.

Each month, Pooch Perks introduces a “theme.” The theme of this month’s box is “Just Keep Swimming.” With “Finding Dory” coming out soon, I love this theme!

IMG_3338

Yummy Chummies Salmon Savory Strips ($9): These treats are grain and gluten free. They are also made in the USA. I didn’t think my dogs would be much on fishy treats but they have gobbled these up!

IMG_3326

Kong Cute Seas Fish ($7): I love Kong toys because they are so durable. This is a squeaker plus it’s a crinkle toy. I gave this to Ruby Sue but because it’s a Kong, this will probably get passed off to Remy. He’s a heavy chewer but this should be durable enough to last him a while.

IMG_3330

Pet Lou Sea Turtle ($8): So cute! This one isn’t quite as durable and it’s filled with fluff so again, this goes to Ruby Sue. She’s still a strong chewer but she’s a bit more gentle on her toys than the other two.

IMG_3331
The Real Meat Company Beach Bums Treats ($7): These treats are make with turkey, pineapple, and coconut. They are all natural and made in the USA. This is such a fun summer treats for the dogs!

IMG_3334

Grandma Lucy’s White Fish Treats ($13): I’ll admit, when I first saw these, I thought they looked kinda gross. But they are for the dogs, not me and I am sure they won’t mind that they look weird. They are grain-free, freeze-dried and include no preservatives. They are also all natural and made in the USA.

IMG_3329

Petrageous Nemo ($8): It’d wouldn’t be a “Just Keep Swimming” theme without Nemo! This is a plush squeaker toy and he’s just too cute!

IMG_3336

Aromadog Derma Pooch Spa Therapy ($10): This soap is made to sooth itchy, flaky skin after a trip to the beach. Remy is a pit bull terrier and their skin can be very sensitive and dry. This will be perfect for him but it will also work great with the Bloodhounds. T gave the dogs a bath yesterday but he did not know we had this in the house. They will probably get another bath in a few weeks so I will make sure we use this. It smells great as well!

IMG_3340

Biscuit Bob’s Apple Crisp Treat Sample (~$1): We have received Biscuit Bob treats before and my dogs always love them.

IMG_3343

Verdict: The total value of this month’s box is around $52. I love the theme is this month’s box and the curation was spot on. I think Pooch Perks is  a great monthly box and I am always happy to open it! It’s probably not the best box for owners of bully breeds or strong chewers though. The toys last for a few weeks for us but we have very large dogs that love to chew. I love the mix of all natural treats that are included and I always feel good about feeding them to our dogs.

Pooch Perks includes a detailed informational card that lists the items in each box.

Each month, Pooch Perks introduces a “theme.” The theme of this month’s box is “Cinco de Mayo”

IMG_5187

Mexican Firecracker Toy ($5): This makes a really great tug toy! I don’t think it will be super durable however so this is going to Ruby Sue. She is usually a little easier on her toys than Remy and Ellie Mae.

IMG_5185

Mexican Themed Dog Bandana ($7): These bandanas are made in the US which is nice. I put this on Ruby Sue for a bit and she looked adorable. I wish I had gotten a picture! However, our dogs don’t wear bandanas very often so I am going to pass this on to a friend that will enjoy it.

IMG_5186

American Natural Premium Coconut Colada ($9): This is certainly a unique dog treat flavor! These are grain free and made in the USA.

IMG_5189

Haute Diggity Dawg Grrrona Beer Bottle Toy ($12): I laughed when I pulled this out of the box. It’s such a fun toy! It’s a plush so again it will most likely go to Ruby Sue. I will make sure to take a picture of her with her “beer bottle.”

IMG_5188

Multipet Loofa Dog ($5): We have had several of these toys over the hearts and the dogs always love them. This is a medium size toy so it’s ok for our large dogs. Remy had a super large one of these when he was a puppy and it was always so cute to watch him try to carry it around!

IMG_5190

Pet Chef Liver Detox treats ($10): I’m not sure how the “detox” part of this works but I know my dogs love them. These are jerky type treats that are made in the USA.

IMG_5191

Exclusively Dog Taco Flavor Jerkeez ($7): Another unique dog treat flavor! These are all natural, wheat-, corn-, and soy-free. They are also made in the USA.

IMG_5192

Verdict: This month’s total value is $55 which is over the cost of the box. I feel like Pooch Perks is getting better each month with sending products that match the box theme. I would be happy with random, fun dog treats and toys but the theme makes it so much more interesting! This is a great box for dog-owners but I think it’s really geared toward smaller dogs. I would love to see a box made specifically for large dogs or heavy chewers!
